"Dolan" is the name of an ancient Uyghur tribe that lived in Taklaman Desert during the Qing dynasty, and they had a unique and flavorful cuisine that the chefs of Dolan have worked hard to introduce to the DC community.

Dolan is also dedicated to preserving the culture and cuisine of the Uyghur people, especially now with the human rights crisis in China. The owner, Hamid Kerim, actually escaped from East Turkistan and came to DC to open this restaurant and share the Uyghur cuisine here.
